It’s safe to say the Simcoe Domino’s Pizza Warriors had themselves a weekend.

The U18 squad went undefeated en route to capturing the Jake Marczenko Memorial Local League Tournament.

Playing five games in three days, the Warriors opened the tourney Friday with a 3-0 win over the Georgian Shores Lightning.

The next day, the Warriors again flexed its defensive muscle shutting out the Dorchester Dragons 1-0, before playing the Mount Brydges Cougars 3-3 a couple of hours later.

Earning a spot into championship Sunday, the Warriors continued to roll along, shutting out the Mount Forest Rams 2-0 in the semifinal, before edging out the Cougars 2-1 to capture the title.

The tournament championship was a huge boost in the arm for the Warriors, who were 4-3-3 heading into the weekend.
