Warriors advance to midget B quarter-finals

It may not have been pretty, but the Simcoe & District Minor Hockey Association Warriors advanced to the Ontario Minor Hockey Association midget B quarter-final.
On Thursday, the Warriors outscored the Ingersoll Express 9-8 to clinch the best-of-six point series 6-2.
The Warriors were poised to sweep the series Tuesday at home, but dropped a 4-1 decision at Talbot Gardens.
The Warriors now take on the Ayr Flames in the quarter-final series.
While the midget squad just got into the quarter-final, there are a handful of local ones kicking off this weekend, beginning Friday.
Among the series, two games are in Norfolk.
In atom B action Friday, the Warriors host the Flames at 6pm, at Talbot Gardens, while the Port Dover Minor Hockey Pirates host the Dresden Jr. Kings at 5:30pm Sunday in their peewee DD quarter-final.
