Though the Niagara District Hockey League has been delayed, the Norfolk Knights U16 team went 2-1-1 at its first-ever tournament in Bradford on the weekend.
Playing in the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament, the KNights opened with a 6-0 win over the Bradford Bulldogs on Friday, and followed that up with a 2-1 victory over teh Georgian Blaze.
Saturday, the Knights played the Innisfil Winterhawks to a 2-2 tie, which earned them a spot in the semifinal on Sunday.
In the semifinal, the Knights’ run was halted thanks to a 1-0 loss to the eventual champion Whitby Wildcats.
