Western Ontario Soccer League results

Logan and Couperus leads Athletics to first win

Michael Couperus and Spencer Logan scored two goals each to lead the way, as the Norfolk Athletics earned its first Western Ontario Soccer League victory of the season on Sunday, a 7-2 decision over Oakridge.

Caleb Girard, Matt Goodrum, and Kyle Causyn all scored singles in the win.

Safeen Biby and Markus Vandam responded for Oakridge.

The Athletics now have a 1-1 record in WOSL Fourth Division action, and will take on Gorkhali FC Saturday in London.

On Thursday in Delhi, Kyle Vanwynsberghe and Robert Maerz scored for the Norfolk Royals in a 3-2 loss to German Canadian FC in WOSL Third Division action.

Jake Wright scored two goals for GCFC, while Maikel Dieker netted one.

The Royals are now 0-2, and tangle with Tillsonburg FC C on Monday at 8:30pm.

The Tillsonburg FC Masters continue to roll.

Carlos Oliveira scored both goals Friday, as TFC came away with a 2-1 win over Exeter FC.

Now 2-0, TFC hosts St. Thomas at 8:30pm on Friday.

In WOSL Premier Division action, Tillsonburg FC still haven’t been able to find the back of the net. On Friday at home, the area’s top side dropped a 1-0 decision to St. Thomas.

Noah DosSantos scored the game’s lone goal.

On Sunday, TFC hit the road and play London Olympian.

In WOSL Second Division action, TFC B played its first game of the season and scored a 4-2 victory over LS Croatia.

Trey Jackson scored two goals to lead the way, with Robert Clark and Austin Gazley pitching in with one each.

Thursday TFC B returns to action at home, where they host St Marys Juggernauts at 8:30pm

Robert Clark scored the lone TFC C goal in a WOSL Third Division loss to London Scottish.

Jonathon Gijzen, Ryan Doyle And Mohsen Atace scored for London Scottish.

Monday, TFC C hosts the Norfolk Royals at 8:30pm.
