The Haldimand RiverCats went to Barrie for more than just a good time this weekend.
After five games in three days, which included a thrilling 1-0 revenge win over the Thunder Bay Queens on Sunday, the RiverCats brought home U18BB gold from the Barrie Sharkfest Tournament.
The RiverCats began the weekend with a 3-0 victory over the Etobicoke Dolphins, before edging the Toronto Leaside Wildcats 5-2.
Saturday morning, the RiverCats faced the Queens, who gave them their only defeat of the tournament thanks to a 4-0 decision. But the loss didn’t bury the RiverCats, who came back with a 2-0 win over the Barrie Sharks to earn a spot in the final against the Queens.

The U13 BB RiverCats got to the semifinal before dropping a 2-1 decision to the Napanee Crunch.
Friday, the RiverCats scored a 3-0 win over the Toronto Leaside Wildcats, before playing the Napanee Crunch to a 1-1 tie.
Saturday, the RiverCats lost 3-0 to the Soo Jr. Greyhounds, before beating the Cold Creek Comets in the quarter-final, earning a spot in the semi against the Crucnch.
