It didn’t come easy, but the Ohsweken Redmen are the Erie Fastball League champions for a third-consecutive season.

Over the weekend, the Redmen went undefeated, including a thrilling 8-7 win over the Fisherville A’s to capture this season’s EFL title.

In the final, the Redmen flexed its power, with Dylan Johnson, Joey Doxtator, Earl Hill and Ryan Sault all belting out home runs. 

Mitch Green pitched a complete game to get the win.  

The Redmen will now head to Cambridge for the Ontario Challenge Cup this weekend, in hopes of qualifying for the 2022 ISC World Tournament. Friday the Redmen take on the St. Thomas Storm at 9pm. Saturday Pool B action continues with the Redmen playing the Elmira Expos at 11:15am, and Tavistock Merchants at 3:45pm.

The rest of the EFL consisted of the Selkirk Steelers, Cayuga Rebels. Jarvis J’s. Dunnville Thunder, and Caledonia Royals.
