It’s very safe to say this has been a memorable run for the Delhi Rockets midget rep team.
In front of another big home crowd on Sunday, the Rockets didn’t disappoint, scoring a 4-1 victory over the East Lambton Eagles. That win, combined with a 3-1 victory Friday in Alvinston, the Rockets sweep the best-of-six point Ontario Minor Hockey Association midget C semifinal 6-0.
They now take on the Mariposa Lightning for the provincial championship.
The Rockets’ OMHA run is one to remember, especially since they haven’t lost a game. The voyage began with a three-game sweep of the Hagersville Hawks, before doing the same to the Six Nations Blackhawks in the quarter-final.
Times and dates for the final have yet to be determined.

The Warriors are in a very familiar position, now down 4-2 in the best-of-six point OMHA midget B semifinal.
The Warriors were down 4-0 in the quarter-final to the Ayr Flames before roaring back to win that series.
Game 4 of the series is Wednesday in Petrolia at 8:40pm, with Game 5, if necessary, Saturday at 7pm at Talbot Gardens.

They now wait for the winner of the semifinal between the Collingwood Blackhawks and Lindsay Muskies.

The Simcoe Warriors simply ran into a powerful buzzsaw in the form of the Moretown Jr. Flags in the OMHA atom B semifinal.
After dropping the first two games 4-0 and 2-0 last weekend, the Warriors returned home to Talbot Gardens Saturday. Though they finally broke that goal barrier, they ended up dropping a 2-1 decision to the Jr. Flags, who sweep the best-of-six point series.
