Brandon Montour is staying put and close to home.
Earlier this week, the 26-year-old from Ohsweken re-signed to a one-year $3.8 million deal with the Buffalo Sabres.
Montour played 54 games last season with the Sabres and scored five goals and 13 assists on the blue line. His great two-way play earned him a plus-13 plus/minus, which was the best on the team.
Before coming to the Sabres before the 2018-19 trade deadline from the Anaheim Ducks the second round (55th overall) pick of the 2014 NHL draft, played 169 games with the Ducks, scoring 16 goals and 47 assists.
