It’s pretty safe to say December was a big month for Jake Luke.
The Norwich Jr C Merchants forward, from Simcoe, lit it up, scoring six goals and seven assists in seven games. And for his efforts, Luke was named the Provincial Junior Hockey League PJHL Doherty Division Forward of the Month.
During that stretch, Luke was only held off the scoresheet in one game, a 5-1 loss to the Paris Mounties.
In 31 games so far this season, Luke has 31 goals and 20 assists to lead the Merchants in goals and points. His 31 goals ranks him second in the entire PJHL, only one behind Noah Bollert of the Glanbrook Rangers.
