There will be plenty of local flavour to the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Prospect Game.

This season there are two Prospects games, with the South Conference taking on the West on December 18 in Norwich. The South Conference consists of players from the Port Dover Sailors, Hagersville Hawks, Dunnville Mudcats, Norwich Merchants and Burford Bulldogs.

Representing the Port Dover Sailor is Mike Vanacker. The 17-year-old forward from Langton has seven goals and four assists in 16 games for the Sailors.

Jacob Passmore will represent the Dunnville Mudcats. Playing for his hometown team, the 17-year-old forward has one goal and two assists in 14 games so far.

Kyle Ilao and Carter Murphy will represent the Burford Bulldogs. Ilao, from Milton, is 16-year-old and  has three goals and two assists in 15 games.

Murphy, from Waterloo, just turned 17 last week, and has three goals and one assist. 

Hayden McLean will head to the PJHL Prospects Game for teh Norwich Merchants. The 17-year-old from Tillsonburg has four goals for the Merchants so far.

The Hagersville Hawks will have Brendan Sullivan participating. The Ancaster resident is the Hawks’ second-leading scorer with six goals and two assists.
