A strong contingent from the Port Dover Skating Club crossed the border over the weekend to compete in the 2020 Edith Scheonrock International Skating Competition in Port Huron, MI.
The local skating club, who were represented by 11 skaters, certainly didn’t come home empty-handed, capturing 27 medals.
Among the medal winners were Lyncoln Marits, who earned two gold medals, along with one silver and a bronze.
Evelyn Elkin earned a gold, silver and bronze medal.
Gabriella Jackson captured two golds, and added a pair of silver medals.
Janel Chanda earned two golds, and one bronze medal.
Alexandra Tandy captured two golds, and a silver medal.
Taylor Bennett won a silver medal and two bronze.
Payton Kraay got one silver, and one bronze for her hard work.
Emmalee Black earned two bronze medals, while Ruby Mullet, Addison Elkin, and Stella Boterberg each won a hard-earned bronze medal each.
