The Holy Trinity Titans were oh so close to earning another berth to the Ontario Federaton of Schools Atletic Association boys hockey championships. Unfortunately, the Sacred Heart High School Crusaders, from Owen Sound had something to say about it.
Despite a two-goal effort from Reid Lazou, the Crusaders scored in overtime to win Tuesday’s Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association boys A/AA hockey semifinal 3-2, and punched a ticket to the provincial championships in the process.
Later in the day, at the Waterford Tricenturena, the Crusaders lost 5-3 to Palmerston’s Norwell District High School Varsity Reds.
