It’ll be a rematch of the Silver Sneaker for the Norfolk Secondary Schools Athletic Association senior boys basketball final on Thursday at Simcoe Composite School.
On Tuesday at SCS, a well-balanced attack led the Holy Trinity Catholic High School Titans to a 74-48 win over the DDSS Raiders in one of the two semifinals.
Aaron Figaro led the Titans with 24 points, while Justus Anderson had 14, and Ben Vanrooy netted 12. The rest of the scorers were: Sylas Brown 6, Ben Williamson 4, Kurt Splinter 4, Jack Hill 4, Rob Splinter 2, Jackson Smith 2, Connor Benaway 1, Dylan Shawana 1.
The Raiders got a very huge 27 point effort from Drew VanVliet, 24 of which were from beyond the arc. Rest of the Raiders scorers: Tre Hodder 9, Jaxson Zurby 7, Dylan Wells 3, Owen Pite 2, Zack Faria 1.
The Titans (7-1 regular season) will now take on the Simcoe Sabres (7-1), thanks to its 84-44 win over the Waterford District High School Wolves.

JUNIOR
In the junior semifinals, the Raiders and Sabres cruised to their respective games to punch a ticket to Thursday’s final.
In the opener, the Raiders tight, swarming defence gave them what they needed to convert into offence, in a 48-28 win over the Titans. Liam Ward 14, Nathan Trickett 11, Nick Klassen 10, Nolan Griffin 7, Brody Balasz, 2
Griffyn Townsend led the Titans with six points, while Zach Weiler, Chance Bacher and Ayden Carr each added five. Julius Brown scored four points and Mason Kreller added two.
The NSSAA finals are set for Thursday at SCS. The junior game begins at 6pm, with the seniors slated for 7:30pm
