The Hagersville Hawks U11 squad has had a great start to the season, adding to their hardware over the weekend.

Playing in a tournament in Norwood over the weekend, the Hawks rolled through four games before being stopped by the Shallow Lake Lakers 4-1 in the final to earn silver medals.

The Hawks started off the two-day event in style Saturday, with a huge 5-0 win over the Highland Storm on, before adding a 5-1 victory over the thorold Black Hawks later in the day.

On Sunday, the Hawks kicked off the day with a 3-3 tie with the Lakers, putting them in second place in their pool and sending them to the playoffs.

In the semifinal, the Hawks edged the Stirling Blues 4-3, before dropping their only game of the tournament in the gold medal game.

The Hawks now have a gold and silver medal to their name in tournament action and are 11-5-1 on the season.
