Brock Dykxhoorn has had a season to remember once again in Taiwan.

The right-handed pitcher has been sharp all season, helping the Uni-President Lions to another Taiwan Series. They will take on the CTBC Brothers in the best-of-seven Chinese Professional Baseball League final beginning Saturday.

The Lions captured the second half season with a 32-25-3 record to earn a spot in the Taiwan Series. The Brothers won the first half, with the Lions right behind them only two games out with a 64-51-5 record.

Teams winning the first and second half seasons meet in the Taiwan Series.

Dykxhoorn has had an MVP-type season, leading the CPBL in wins with 17, while only losing four times. His Earned Run Average is a spectacular 1.83, striking out 157 batters and only giving up 37 walks.

For his effort, last year’s Taiwan Series Most Outstanding Player, was recently named the Canadian Baseball Network’s Claude Pelletier Award winner, as the top Canadian pitching in foreign lands or in independent ball.
